Lo filtros tienen la propiedad de filtran que 99.999% de la luz visible y 100 % de la luz ultravioleta. Con ellos puedes observar los eclipses solares mientras estos se encuentran en su fase parcial. Sin embargo, hay que asegurarse que su grado de opacidad es de 14 o m\u00e1s. Para esto puedes elaborar un sencillo instrumento o puedes usar una hoja de papel perforada e incluso tus manos. Tambi\u00e9n puedes usar un binocular o un muy peque\u00f1o(!!) telescopio, como se muestra a continuaci\u00f3n.
